Four Characteristics of Couples Who Get Well and Stay Well

re|engage Teaching

Since Re|engage launched over 18 years ago, we have observed 4 common characteristics that are present in couples who get well and stay well (not just during their 6 months at Re|engage, but long after). The goal is not perfection or bliss, but thriving which still includes occasional struggles. We call that struggling in the right direction. The characteristics we review tonight are lifestyle principles for daily living. We affectionately refer to them as the 4 C’s:

1. Christ
2. Circle
3. Commitment
4. Community
