I moved to Dallas in 2007 to find a job after graduating with an accounting degree from UT San Antonio. I initially worked as a media buyer in advertising for 6 years. Over time I began to see my passion and abilities become more aligned with Information Technology, so I studied and passed certification tests in order to make a career change.
My brother, JJ, introduced me to Watermark when I first came to Dallas while I was living with him. It wasn’t until my idol of being in a relationship was taken away from me in 2009 that my pride was broken enough to trust in Christ with my life. I quickly grew spiritually as I was poured into from God’s word, my community group and Equipped Disciple.
I came to realize that God had given me the gifts of service, teaching and a strong desire to learn. I then began to use those gifts to love others and teach them to obey God’s commands through Equipped Disciple and Student Ministries. Now I have the privilege to serve the staff at Watermark, so that they may be better equipped with technology to love those God has placed in their care.
I enjoy reading, playing games, and learning new things; some of my favorite games are Dominion, Settlers of Catan, and Escape. I married my amazing and beautiful best friend Elizabeth in 2012, and we enjoy discipling our small groups of high school students through the Shoreline ministry. We are both looking forward to the joys and challenges that God has in store for us with our groups of young men and women in the future.
