Oscar Castillo

Director of Watermark en Español

Meet Oscar

Our city has more than 200+ ethnic groups within its city limits and I’m super pumped to serve our Watermark family by equipping us to effectively engage these beautiful ethnic people from all over the world.

I was born in the small Central-American country of El Salvador and came to the United States with my family at a young age. Dad planted a church in West Dallas, where I grew up, and continues to lead it today. I never attended a school more than a year and a half and continually found myself on the move. I eventually ended up graduating from Frisco High School and after ventured to attend Bible college in the country of everlasting spring, Guatemala. After college, I returned back to the United States to join the staff team at the church my father was leading. At the same time, I also started selling real estate here in the DFW area and things were great for some years until 2008. That was a pivot point for my life, but in hindsight, I see how God used it for my good. Next time you see me, ask me about my story, I’d love to share it with you. Or you could read some of it here: http://www.watermark.org/dallas/blog/reshaping-my-view

After that turning point in my life, I’ve had the privilege of being the lead pastor of a church in the Garland area, also an executive director of a global ministry here in Dallas, and now have the great opportunity to lead the charge in seeing our Watermark family engage our evolving city demographics.

I look forward to seeing you at one of our cross-cultural events in the near future. Let’s connect if you’re interested in reaching the Ends of the Earth here in Dallas.
