I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I met my sweet husband, Garrett Wikle, at Oklahoma State University. Never in a million years did I think I would work for a church, nor did I think I would live in Texas…but here we are! After graduating from OSU I taught fifth grade for three years and then transitioned to the Watermark Institute which led me to the position I am in today.
Although I grew up in a Christian home, I had many misconceptions of the gospel. Growing up I remember hearing about the Good News and believing that I needed to perform, I believed that somehow my “good deeds” contributed to my Salvation. But God in His kindness used a handful of sports injuries during my teenage years to show me that my identity is found in Him and that it is Jesus Alone that redeems me. Just as I needed clarification of the gospel, I now get to lead a team that welcomes folks to Watermark and affirms, clarifies, and shares the gospel with those who are seeking membership!
