Hey guys!!
I grew up in Traverse City, Michigan (land of all things cherry). I was raised nominally Catholic as a young child, but after hardship in our family, I decided God wasn’t for me and began to identify as an agnostic.
As a high schooler, I became very involved in Young Life, which introduced me to the true person of Christ. However, in college, I felt I needed to experience the world in every sense. It was through the consequences of one decision that the Lord called me to Him. During my sophomore year of college, I began attending and leading worship for a college ministry called The Salt Company. A dear friend there quickly took me under her wing, shared the Gospel, and discipled me. And now, despite the death and destruction of my sin, I have confidence that the Lord is the most loving, life-giving, and trustworthy Father. During my time at Michigan State, I worked part-time as a barista and discovered a greater passion for serving people through the art of coffee than I found in my chosen degree field. I have now been a barista for the past 5 years. Because I lived a large part of my life decidedly separate from God, I’ve developed a heart for people who feel they don’t fit in the Church, feel misunderstood, and think they don’t want the goodness of Jesus.
My husband Noah and I moved to Dallas in 2023. We have 2 cats, Button and Junie (sorry, not sorry dog people). When I’m not at Watermark Coffee, you can find me at any other coffee shop in DFW, gardening, playing with our cats, and hanging out with friends!
