Elissa Sullivan

Meet Elissa

I'm a born and raised resident of Dallas, who took a four year pause to attend the University of Arkansas for a degree in Communication and Event Management and had the opportunity to resume life in Dallas by joining staff after graduation.

I accepted God into my heart in 2005 in the back seat of my mom’s van on the way home from a church event, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I realized that I am a sinner in desperate need of a Savior! After deciding to begin the journey of fully surrendering my life to the Lord, I became a member at Watermark and began serving with Kaleidoscope, Shoreline, and any mission trip opportunity I could attend. This led to an internship with the high school ministry, Shoreline, through which the Lord affirmed the call He had on my life to live a life on mission and to seek a ministry related job once completing a college degree.

In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Communications team in a part-time assistant role with Join the Journey. I had no idea that the Lord could use that experience to pave the way for me to join staff as the Social Media and Photography Project Manager in May 2023!

Shortly after joining staff, I married my college sweetheart in June of 2023. I love all things coffee, traveling, thrifting, being outside, Tex-Mex and spending time with family and friends. I am so grateful to get to help others in such a unique way in this role to serve a wider purpose of pointing people to Jesus!
