Meet Catherine

I grew up in the Woodlands, Texas in an incredibly loving home. My parents raised me and my older twin brothers to love and follow Jesus from a very young age. I accepted Christ when I was 6 years old after Vacation Bible School, but it wasn’t until after college that I understood the gospel on a deeper level. My struggles with fear, anxiety, and doubt led me to a place of exhaustion and I realized I was powerless to fix my sin and struggles on my own. By the power of the Spirit, I surrendered and confessed to God that I needed a rescuer. I finally recognized that Jesus was my Rescuer. It is by grace that I have been saved through faith in what Christ has done for me through His life, death, and resurrection. I praise God that His love and salvation are simply a gracious gift to be received (Ephesians 2:8-9)!

My passion for art and creativity led me to Baylor University where I got a degree in Apparel Design. After college, I moved to Austin where I started my watercolor art business. God called me to Dallas 4 years later to be closer to family and I became a member at Watermark. Through serving at The Porch and Women’s Bible Study, God has grown my boldness to share the gospel and has deepened my passion for helping women know God and His Word. In 2022, God led me to the Watermark Institute and then to a role on staff where I can use my love of creativity and ministry to serve Christ!

In my free time, you can find me painting, playing with my nieces and nephews, or enjoying a long walk with a friend!
