Born and raised in the promise land, a loyal and true graduate from Oklahoma State (go pokes!)...I’m an Oklahoma girl whose heart was stolen by the great state of Texas.
Daniel 4:34 says, “At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives forever...” This scripture most clearly describes my story of grace; though I gave my life to the Lord in 8th grade, I continued to live as though I was unforgiven and a slave to my flesh. Years later, in college, I reached the end of myself when God sanctified me during my first summer at Pine Cove Ranch. God’s Word and God’s love informed my whole heart in a way I had never experienced before...and from then on, I’ve committed my life to the cost and call of following Jesus. Praise be to Him who has rescued me from my sin and given me the Spirit of adoption as God’s daughter (Romans 8, read it...then read it again)!
Post college, I stumbled upon Wayne Grudem’s little book, Systematic Theology; my intrigue quickly turned to passion as I so deeply desired to be a student of God and what doctrine He has revealed to us in His Holy Scriptures. What a privilege it was to get to be a learner of those things throughout my year in the Watermark Institute! The Institute served as a catalyst for my relationship with God and my ministry.
I am so grateful to have been added to team Watermark, where the Lord continues to bring redemption to my story as He uses me in the discipling of leaders, students and kids.
....As my dad always says, “All the time God is good...God is good all the time.” Ain’t that the truth.
