I grew up in San Antonio, Texas with parents that love Jesus and were faithful to share Him with me. I am thankful to have grown up in a home where prayer was prioritized, and Gods word was opened often. Even though I knew Jesus at a young age, I spent most of my high school years striving for perfection, wanting to maintain a good reputation, and filled with pride. On paper I would have told you that I believed salvation was by grace through faith (Eph 2:8-9) but I lived as though I had to earn a right standing with God by my good works and performance.
It wasn’t until my Senior year of High School where God used my time serving in my local church to come to a right understanding of the Gospel (Titus 3:5, Gal 4:4-7). I understood the weight of my sin and desperate need for a Savior. Because of His great mercy and invitation of grace, I can now look to the finished work of Christ on the cross for assurance of salvation. The debt I couldn’t pay— He paid in full. Thanks be to God, I am undeserving!
I attended Texas A&M University (whoop!) and spent my summers serving at T Bar M Camps. God used summers at camp to give me a taste of the joy that comes in being co-laborers with Christ in the Gospel (1 Cor 3:9). It was there, that the Lord gave me a heart for ministry, service, and discipleship!
Grateful to be a part of this Church and witness all that God is doing in and through the lives of Young Adults. (Psalm 78)
