I am originally from Toledo, Ohio. I come from a great family with two amazing parents who fear and love the Lord. Growing up, we were church-goers, though I didn’t really care about what I was hearing. On a weekend getaway at the age of 18, God used 2 words that would radically change the trajectory of my eternity: but God. There, while reading Ephesians 2, he opened my eyes to the sinful person I was, and my need for Christ. By the work of the Spirit, my heart was transformed and opened to the beauty of the gospel and the finished work that Christ did through his death, burial, and resurrection. Since then, my life has been radically changed – my desires, my love for others, and my purpose. However, for many years after he saved me, due to poor theology and poor discipleship, I was actually at odds with his church. In God’s kindness, I moved to Louisville, Kentucky, and there entered the doors of a healthy church, meeting several men that God would use for the next 9 years to help shape my desires to love him and his Church. I have since then come to love his Bride, the Church, and to see the importance and impact of godly discipleship and community. I graduated from Southern Seminary (SBTS) with my Master of Divinity, and there met my amazing wife, Chaney. This northerner and his wife then moved to her hometown, Dallas, Texas, in July 2021, where I then came on staff at Watermark in February 2022. I love the Ohio State Buckeyes, rugby, European soccer, deep theology, art, politics, Texas BBQ (praise God), and walks with my wife.
