I was raised in Plano, TX and accepted Christ as my savior in elementary school. Unfortunately, I lacked an understanding of what it meant to have a relationship with God. I saw Him as my moral authority and didn’t allow Him to consistently inform my life. At the height of my rebellion, some friends invited me to The Porch and everything changed. God quickly removed every barrier that held me back from knowing Him: my job, toxic friendships, and several things that I had a false identity in.
I became a member at Watermark and started serving everywhere I could. God began to open my eyes to the needs of people in Dallas, and the brokenness of this world through mission trips to Ethiopia, Haiti, and Vietnam. Through a series of events that hit my family pretty hard, the Lord began to prepare my heart for full-time ministry. He has shown Himself to be faithful to His promises in my darkest times, and has taken my brokenness, hurts, passions and gifts and made sense out of all of it. I am daily overwhelmed by God’s grace and the ways He chooses to use me. Today, I have the privilege of connecting our church body to opportunities to serve in the city of Dallas and it is my dream job! Few things stir my affection for the Lord more than believers in Jesus Christ uniting together to seek the welfare of the city they are in.
