Discussion Questions

  1. What causes loneliness? Where do you think the feeling comes from?

  2. How does the world or culture encourage us to cure loneliness?*(Social media,Relationships, Popularity, etc.)

  3. In what ways are you tempted to distract or avoid the feelings of loneliness? Where or what do you run to when you feel lonely

  4. Why is it important for a Christian to “be known”? *(Read Prov. 18:1 & Prov. 18:24).

  5. If God is enough, why was it not good for Adam to be alone? (Gen 2:18) Do you think God created us to live in community?

  6. Read Philippians 4:19. How does this verse comfort those who are lonely? How do you think God might use your loneliness for good?


About 'Let's Face It'

Let's face it there are many hard topics and situations middle schoolers face on a weekly basis. In this series we tackle them head on and talk about how God's word informs our loneliness, anxiety, depression, and bullying. We hope to face these topics head on and make them a normal conversation for Small Groups and students.
