New to the Kit or looking for helpful hints on how to use it? Check out the Kids Kit Tips and Tricks - Elementary Edition where we share detailed instructions about the resources below.

Our elementary curriculum builds on the biblical foundation laid for kids in preschool. We want elementary kids to see the excellent character of our all-powerful God and why He is the hero of every story. We do that by looking at 36 godly character traits – one per month – with weekly Finish Lines that teach kids about God, His Word, and how He can help us reflect His character to the world.

Our character trait for June is HOPE! Check out the Monthly Overview for a snapshot of everything we will be learning about this month.

More ways to have a great week of worship...

Use these activities to keep talking about and applying what you learned this weekend throughout the week.

Teacher: Meal Time

Review God’s promise to David in 1 Chronicles 17:7-15 and the fulfillment of that promise in Luke 1:26-33. What promises did God make to David? How did He keep them in the New Testament? Does anything make you doubt God’s promises? If so, what? What are some promises God has already kept to you in the last week? Month? Etc.?

Friend: Drive Time

Write the words from this month’s memory verse (Romans 15:13 NLT) on sticky notes. Post the notes on the inside of your car…on the windows, backs of the seat, etc. As you drive around, practice saying the verse. Each time you come to a stop light, remove one of the sticky notes and see if you can still say the verse. You could also mix the sticky notes up and have your sibling unscramble them before you get to the next light!

Counselor: Bedtime

As you are getting ready for bed, take time to pray together. Thank God for all of the promises He has already fulfilled through Jesus and for those that are to come. Ask Him to help you put your hope fully in Him and not in temporary things. Thank Him for the hope He gives through the Holy Spirit.

Coach: Anytime

Summer is a great time to review our Bible Timeline! Go over an era each week, talk about which era different Bible stories are in, or come up with other fun ways to remind yourself and your kiddos that the Bible is one, big, true story!

Prayer

Father, thank you that we can have HOPE and be confident in your promises because you will always keep your promises!
