Meet Gabe

I grew up in Fort Worth in a Christian home. I’m the youngest of three kids, and while we attended church every Sunday, I was always very apathetic towards faith growing up. Looking back, I can’t remember a single time I prayed or even opened my Bible outside of a Sunday service.
As I got older, I began to grow less and less interested in anything involving the church, and as I went off to attend Kansas State University, I planned to leave my faith behind altogether. But, through the faithfulness of another student involved in a para-church ministry, I began to investigate what it looked like to have a relationship with God that was my own, not just one that my parents funneled me into. That following summer I gave my life to Christ and went back to campus with a changed view of what God has called me to!
Although I graduated with my degree in Computer Science, I went straight into ministry, working overseas in London for 3 years doing outreach on university campuses in the city. But as some exit ramps developed, I applied for and was accepted to the Watermark Institute, and after finishing have been blessed with the opportunity to join The Porch team!
