Meet Autumn
Hi friends! I grew up in the Houston area and am blessed to be a big sister to my 7 younger siblings whom I love and adore. I wasn’t raised in the church but began attending with my family when I was a junior in high school. At that point, I knew of God but was far from having a relationship with Him.
I attended Texas Tech University (Wreck Em’!) for my undergraduate and master’s degrees where I studied Finance and Data Science. In the boonies of Lubbock, TX, by the grace of God, is where I surrendered my life to Jesus! During my time at Tech, the Lord in His kindness revealed my sin to me and showed me my need for a Savior. For the first time in my life, the weight of the gospel and the freedom we receive through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection finally clicked! I remember hearing Romans 10:9-10 and feeling God’s Word come alive for the first time and it gave me the confidence to fully surrender my life to Christ! Through the faithfulness of women in a disciple making program at my church, I learned what it looked like to devote daily to the Lord and enjoy life with Him!
After I graduated, God opened the door for me to pursue a corporate job here in Dallas! I quickly plugged into Watermark and began serving with our preschool ministry. I always knew that I had a heart for kiddos, but I wasn’t sure how the Lord wanted to use it. Not until He, in His kindness, redirected my path from my corporate job to serving Him in ministry. In His provision, I was accepted into the Watermark Institute and had the privilege of serving alongside the Preschool Team. While serving on the team, I was blessed to transition onto full-time staff in the role of Red Coordinator, which I am convinced is the best job to have! I have the opportunity to serve our youngest generation where I get to see so tangibly the Father’s love for us!
If I’m not in the Red hallway, you can find me at a coffee shop, in the sun, reading, snackin’ on some candy, or doing something active with friends! It is the joy of my life to serve our King and to raise up our littlest members to know Him!
