I grew up in Flower Mound in a Christian home but without a clear understanding of the gospel or the purpose of the Church. I did, however, have a firm grasp on football, anything with two wheels, and country and classic rock music – all of which I still have a strong affinity for to this day. After graduating from Auburn University (War Eagle!!) in 2015 with my high school sweetheart and now wife, Lindsey, I began my career as a mechanical engineer in the defense industry and was balancing work with the Dallas party scene and a large helping of guilt, shame, and anxiety. I got plugged in at Watermark after Lindsey and I did Merge in 2018, and after being in authentic community for some time and experiencing the freedom of confessing my sins to others, I finally understood God’s grace – that it is unearned and my darkest sins do not disqualify me from it. Now, I’m passionate about people understanding the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I’m passionate about His Church. In 2022 God in his kindness opened a door for me to pursue my passion for ministry full-time on staff at Watermark after I’d been serving on the Believe Team for a couple of years. Outside of work you’ll find me playing with my daughter, Jolene, riding my mountain bike, playing disc golf, and hanging out with friends and family.
