Meet Emily

I grew up in Wylie, TX and was a proud graduate of Wylie East’s Alpha Class™. I’d heard about Jesus my whole life, but it wasn’t until my random roommate at Texas Tech University invited me to a small group that I had ears to hear and understood the gospel (thanks Allyson!). I saw a peace in the Christians around me, regardless of their circumstances. It was confusing and made me want to learn more about the Jesus that they knew!

After another year of living with one foot in Christianity and one foot in the world, I decided to finally commit to going all in with Jesus. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not so thankful for that decision!

After college I managed restaurants and worked as a barista, deepening my love for coffee and for the unchurched. In the Fall of 2019, I got the opportunity to serve as the part-time Administrator for the Midweek Kid’s Ministry and eventually come on staff full-time in March of 2021.

I never thought that God would call me into full-time ministry, but I’m grateful that God has given me the chance to use my story to make His name more known. I love getting to connect with people who became believers later in life and say “Hey, me too!” and watch them instantly become more comfortable!

I’m married to the hottest Civil Engineer in Dallas, Parker, and we have borderline too many pets (2 cats and 2 dogs). When I’m not at work, you can catch me crying to Dolly Parton, watching Formula 1 or the Dallas Stars, staying up way too late reading, and planning my next outdoor adventure.
