It is mind-blowing to think that Jesus, the God of the universe in human flesh, would have hung on that tree if it was all just for me, if I was the only one to walk this planet. He thought of me, He thought of you, and every sin we would commit. When He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do,” sometimes I wonder if that plea was just as much for you and me as it was for those who nailed him to that tree and casted lots for His clothing.
Isaiah 53 says He was a sheep led to the slaughter, a man of sorrows acquainted with grief. He laid down His life to give us life in return. I was an orphan, but He welcomed me in. He gave me a new name. He called me His son. So, what can I say and do but worship? There’s really nothing left but to Sing Hallelujah!
