Read Ephesians 2:10, Genesis 1:27. Let a different student read each one.

DISCUSS

  1. Do you have an easy/hard time believing that God has created you for a purpose?

  2. What do you think it means to be made in the image of God? How should that change our viewpoint on ourselves and others?

  3. What do you think you look for value in? Is it sports, family, friends, popularity, grades, etc.?

  4. Read Ephesians 2:10 again. What do you think it means to be the handiwork of God? How do we apply this to our lives?

  1. If you were to fall into "thorns & snares" like Proverbs 22:4-6 talks about, what would it be? How do you think you can avoid that?

  2. What image of God do you think is the most impactful for you? Why? (Creator, Light, Flawless, Shield, Savior, Perfect, or Love, etc.)

  3. If our belief determines our behavior how have you seen that impact your life? Are there more positive or negative impacts you have seen?

  4. What is the next step you need to take to make your middle school years the glory days? (Do you need to cut something out or add something in your life? Do you need to go deeper with small group?)


About 'Glory Days'

Most people look back at their middle school days and don’t think of them as the glory days. It can be a time when you have a lot of questions and few answers. Lots of change and not much control. In this series, we will look at the steps you can take to find Identity, Purpose, and Confidence In these foundational years.
