In the past, how have you felt about reading your Bible? What do you think caused you to feel this way?
Out of the three things listed that God’s word can give you, which were you the most surprised to hear? Joy, Guidance, or Freedom
How can you begin to change the way you think about spending time in the Bible? What are some practical steps you can take this week to teach your heart to long for God’s word?
What would you tell someone who has never spent time in God’s word if they came to
you asking how they can get started? Where would tell them to start reading and why?
The book of Psalms provides an honest look at what it’s like to have a relationship with God. Each chapter encourages us to be real about the challenges we face in life and the promises that should guide us every day. This summer we will be studying specific chapters in the book of Psalms that teach us how to look to God in any circumstance.
