Located in southwest Missouri, Camp Barnabas is a Christian camp for individuals with special needs. Each year Watermark takes a group of high school students up to Camp Barnabas for a week-long experience of hands on, Christ-centered ministry. Students finishing up 8th grade (i.e. starting 9th grade in Fall 2025) have the option of serving alongside some current 9th graders as “Barnstormers” (work crew) and most students in grades 9–12 serve as one-on-one Counselors. This is a unique, intense, and powerful experience serving others in the name of Christ.
All students currently in grades 9–12 (along with interested 8th graders) are invited to join us. Participants are not required to attend Watermark Community Church but must meet all of the following criteria: A) Follower of Jesus Christ, B) Willing to teach others about Jesus, and C) Willing to be spiritually accountable to Watermark and Camp Barnabas leadership.
Trip Details
After registering with Watermark, families will receive a Camp Barnabas–specific link in the coming weeks to complete their additional registration through the Camp Barnabas portal.
Payment Options for Students
Option 1: Pay in Full
Students who prefer to pay their event cost in full can do so by submitting the full amount at the time of registration. This option provides convenience and eliminates the need for additional fundraising efforts.
Option 2: Support Raise
For students who may find it challenging to cover the entire event cost upfront, we're offering the option to support raise a portion of their total cost. This amount can be raised through various means, such as reaching out to family and friends, organizing fundraising events, or seeking sponsorships.
Deposit: To secure their spot, all students are required to pay a $100 deposit at the time of registration.
After paying the deposit, students have the opportunity to raise the remaining $395 of their event cost through fundraising efforts. Students can pay gradually through my.watermark.org portal.
If fundraising goals are not met by June 13, students will need to cover the cost of their remaining trip balance.
We're committed to providing support and guidance to students throughout the support raising process. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
A minimum initial payment of $100 is due upon registration, with full payment due by Thursday, June 12, 2025 at midnight.
If you need to cancel, the following cancellation schedule applies:
$495 is non-refundable if canceled after June 7
Late arrival is not an option. Camp Barnabas requires that all volunteers be present for their training. Participants will need to be in Dallas on Friday night for our Team Dinner and then depart on Saturday morning with our group.
If you have questions or comments about this event feel free to reach out to us.
