Trauma-Informed Parenting

Trauma-Informed Parenting (TIP) is a series on parenting children with trauma led by Watermark's Family Restoration ministry. The first session will provide a framework for helping a child heal as we explore and apply biblical truth and pull helpful practices from leading child development and neuropsychological research.

Our goal is to ensure our kinship, foster, and adoptive families are thriving with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to disciple their kids. Other families are welcome to join as well if a child(ren) exhibits difficult behaviors or struggles with adverse childhood experiences.

The series will roll out over multiple sessions twice a year so parents can identify which sessions they need most and have time to practice the skills and tools identified throughout the series. Future sessions will include topics like Family Crisis, Teens and Trauma, Navigating Mental Health and Therapies, Equipping a Trauma-Informed Community, and more.
