New to the Kit or looking for helpful hints on how to use it? Check out the Kids Kit Tips and Tricks - Elementary Edition where we share detailed instructions about the resources below.

Our elementary curriculum builds on the biblical foundation laid for kids in preschool. We want elementary kids to see the excellent character of our all-powerful God and why He is the hero of every story. We do that by looking at 36 godly character traits – one per month – with weekly Finish Lines that teach kids about God, His Word, and how He can help us reflect His character to the world.

Our character trait for March is CONSISTENCY! Check out the Monthly Overview for a snapshot of everything we will be learning about this month.

More ways to have a great week of worship...

Use these activities to keep talking about and applying what you learned this weekend throughout the week.

Teacher: Meal Time

READ PSALM 100:5 & HEBREWS 13:8 What do these verses tell you about God? (Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God’s love and faithfulness endure forever.) What are some things in life that change? How do you change? How does it make you feel knowing God never changes? Why?

Friend: Drive Time

The verses we read this week are not the only ways we see God’s consistency in the Bible. When you’re in the car this week, spend time thinking of other stories in the Bible that show us that God’s consistent character. The God in the Bible is the same God who is in control of everything even now! Start with your favorite Bible story and ask, “What is true about God in this story that is still true today?”

Counselor: Bedtime

Do you have anything uncertain in your life right now or any big changes? How can you rely on God’s consistency through those times? Pray specifically for what was mentioned. Thank God for always staying the same and for His unchanging Truth in a constantly shifting world.

Coach: Anytime

Learn the memory verse (Psalm 119:4-6) together as a family. Write it with wipe off markers on your bathroom mirror. Practice “popcorn style,” where each family member says one word until the entire verse is completed. Write it on an index card and keep it in the car or make up your own hand motions.

Prayer

Father, thank you for your unchanging Truth in a constantly shifting world. Help me to remember that your love endures forever when I am feeling doubt or uncertain.
