Addressing Racism

The Watermark family continues to gather to discuss and lament the racial injustice in our land, pursue and pray for reconciliation, and encourage our hearts toward oneness through action. As a next step, our Elders have asked each community group to explore the issue of racism, and the Community Team has created helpful tools and resources to help groups engage in this important conversation.

Each Watermark Community Group is asked to read and process the two-part Addressing Racism Discussion Guide below. Part one is an individual reflection to examine your heart, allowing you to confess, repent, and anchor to the freeing gospel truth of Scripture. After everyone in your group has worked through the reflection on their own, part two is intended to facilitate discussion, confession, and prayer during your group meeting.

We are thankful for the opportunity to confront the sin of racism and build unity within the body of Christ. We invite you to explore the resources below as we continue the conversation.
