I was born in Austin, Texas and moved quickly to Dallas soon after I was born. Growing up, I was a faithful attender of church but my heart was callous to the Gospel. I believed church was just a social club for “good people.” Early on I looked for my identity in athletics, later in high school relationships with women and by the time I made it to college, I felt directionless and depressed. It wasn’t until I walked into Celebrate Recovery (now re:gen) at Watermark in 2010, in my early 20s that I realized my brokenness and my need for a Savior and that God loved me and wanted to restore me.
In 2011, I jumped into serving at the Porch and the Lord gave me a passion to serve and love those who were in the same broken state that I was, and to point them to Christ.
My wife, Tara, and I married in 2013 and we have 2 children. Together we have served in Watermark Students sharing our lives and the Gospel with young men and women. It has been our joy to watch our students take hold of their faith and rest in God’s promises. In my free time, I’m an avid sports fan and love watching the Dallas Mavericks!
