Meet Abby

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri with all the toasted ravioli and Cardinals baseball a girl could need (if you know, you know). Growing up, I would’ve told you that I was a Christian, but I had no personal relationship with Christ. I developed habits of chasing identity and satisfaction in my accomplishments, my friends, and what other people thought of me.

I attended the University of Arkansas for college (Woo Pig forever!), and it was there that I was brought to true saving faith in Jesus. At the end of my freshman year, I had come to the end of my self. Everything the world offered that I had pursued to fulfill me time and again left me empty and anxious. But God was faithful! He provided me with women who came alongside me and showed me what a personal relationship with Jesus was. They helped me to see the Gospel as MY story for the first time – I understood that Jesus was willing to go to the cross for MY sins, that it was MY punishment that He bore, and that because of his sacrifice, I get to be in right relationship with my Creator and Father. From then on, the Lord radically changed my life, and it will forever be marked by Him and His love for me.

I moved to Dallas after graduating in May of ’21 and got plugged into membership here at Watermark shortly after. Fast forward a year and a half later, and the Lord has led me to a place on the staff team here at Watermark. I am so thrilled to get the opportunity to work for the body of Christ, and to serve these sweet kids and their families. It is a joy and a privilege! In my free time you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop, going for a walk at White Rock, playing a game of tennis, or spending quality time with my people!

“But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has dealt bountifully with me.” (Psalm 13:5-6) Amen and Amen!
