Story Behind the Song

Sometimes I feel as if I have nothing to offer the Lord but my failures. Nothing to show but my sin. But he still loves me and wants all of me. Even that stuff. And like a faithful father, he wants a relationship with me, and he wants a relationship with you.

So the simple truth in this song is something we needed to sing as a church. This is a song for those who have tasted the emptiness of sin, have come to the end of themselves, and are desperate to truly know and love God. It is a prayer asking God to let our relationship with Him be sincere, honest, and true. And subsequently, our worship. We want the real thing.
