Good Counsel or Bad Counsel

Job's friends respond to Job with some truth and some bad theology of God. In light of this, we realize that we need to run all counsel through the grid of scripture in order to make sure it is in line with God's instruction and Word to us. We need to develop our theology of God from His Word, not our experience, our family or our friends. We see, especially in these passages, that poor advice is often hard to discern when it is close to the truth.
