Context, Characters, Consequences and Choices

The first 3 chapters of 1 Samuel lead us to consider the context (the history of the Israelites and Lord?s desire for them), characters (namely, the contrast between Hannah and Eli?s sons), the consequences for these characters, and our choices in light of what we studied. We are challenged to choose to live with the faith and obedience that Hannah demonstrates.
