Getting "right" with God can be tough because we think we're "good enough" already or that we're so bad, there's no use even trying. Romans 3 makes it clear that neither way is right, that we're all dead in our trespasses and the ONLY way to God is through the blood sacrifice of His perfect Son Jesus.
