Our world is evil and rotting away. We are toxic with sin, going from bad to worse. Jesus teaches us that his followers are the ones preserving the earth. He says that we are the "salt of the earth" and that it is our job to create an environment where evil cannot thrive. In order to be effective salt, we must be uncontaminated by the world and invested in other people's lives.
