God calls us to pursue harmony in all of our relationships. First, by seeking a right relationship with Him through trusting in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ - a correct vertical relationship. But second, to seek peace in our horizontal relationships. Which role do you need to play? That of the book's author, Paul, as mediator; or of its subject, Onesimus, as one who needs to seek forgiveness; or of the letter's recipient, Philemon, who is being called to forgive?
