Married for longer than three years and want to join a community group? Community Formation is for you! Married Community Formation is an opportunity to connect with other Watermark members in the same season of life and geographic area who are also seeking to form a community group.
If you have been married less than three years, Foundation Groups are for you! Click here to learn more.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
Yes, this formation process is for individuals at Watermark who have completed every step of the Membership process, except finding a community group. This means that participants have already attended Discover Watermark and Membership Class Part I and II, written and shared their testimony, signed the covenant and found a place to serve. (If you are a visitor, a great next step for you to hear about Watermark's heart, vision, and values is to attend Discover Watermark.)
Who typically attends Community Formation?
Married Community Formation is for any couple that has been married three years or more, has completed the Membership steps, and are looking to connect with other married couples to form a community group. This could include any couples who recently completed the Membership process, or existing members who are simply looking for a group.
When is Married Community Formation?
Sundays from 9:00-10:15am in the East Tower- 1st Floor
2020 Dates: Feb. 2, 9, 16
Is there Kids’ Ministry?
Yes, normal Kids’ Ministry will be offered during the 9 am service.
How often do I attend?
Married Community Formation will have an “open group” feel each week, similar to our re:generation and re|engage ministries. The more you attend, the more chances you will have to meet other couples and form a group.
What will Community Formation look like?
Every Sunday we will have three components to our time: connecting, teaching, and small group discussion. Each week, we’ll give you a chance to connect with others in a similar geographic area and life stage, grow together through hearing teaching on topics related to biblical community and marriage, and discuss what you’re learning in a small group setting.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes! This will help us strategically introduce you to others in your season of life and geographic area. Please RSVP at our Married Community Events Page.
Interested in serving at Community Formation?
We have three opportunities to serve with Community Formation: hospitality/greeting, table facilitation, and community group leader (for your own community group). If you’re interested in learning more about these opportunities, email Brandon Sanchez at email@example.com.
Are there other ways to form married community groups at Watermark?
- Organic Connection - If you have a group of people with whom you’d like to do community, contact them about forming a group together. Contact our team so we can assist and guide you in forming your own group.
- Existing Connection - If you know of an existing group you want to join, contact the leader or the person you know in the group. Ask them if they would be open to adding a member(s) to their group. Find out when they meet and if there is anything you need to do to get on the same page as the group.
A Watermark community group is comprised of at minimum three couples (married group) who are all Watermark Members.
Our team can also assist current Members connect with other Members to form community. Please let us know how we can help at firstname.lastname@example.org.
