New to the Kit or looking for helpful hints on how to use it? Check out the Kids Kit Tips and Tricks - Elementary Edition where we share detailed instructions about the resources below.

Our elementary curriculum builds on the biblical foundation laid for kids in preschool. We want elementary kids to see the excellent character of our all-powerful God and why He is the hero of every story. We do that by looking at 36 godly character traits – one per month – with weekly Finish Lines that teach kids about God, His Word, and how He can help us reflect His character to the world.

Our character trait for June is HOPE! Check out the Monthly Overview for a snapshot of everything we will be learning about this month.

More ways to have a great week of worship...

Use these activities to keep talking about and applying what you learned this weekend throughout the week.

Teacher: Meal Time

Review the stories of the Rich Young Ruler (Luke 18:18-23) and Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10). What is one thing you would be sad to give up? Why? Why do we like to get more stuff? What do you think it can do for you? For how long? How would your life change if you didn’t care about those things and only put your hope in God? God's love is never-ending. Life, happiness, and fulfillment can only be found in Him. Take some time to go over the list of God’s Promises that all the kids went home with this weekend.

Friend: Drive Time

Play “Spot the Lie” as you drive around this week, focusing specifically on stuff versus God. Whether it’s billboards, stores, shows, or thinking about your destination, where do you see the world trying to convince you to put your hope in stuff the world gives? How long will that stuff really last? What truth from God can you use to combat those lies?

Counselor: Bedtime

Take some time to pray and thank God for all the earthly blessings He has given you and for all the ways He provides for you. Ask Him to help you put your hope in Him alone and not in all the stuff you have. Ask Him to help you use the earthly blessings in your life as a way to glorify Him and show others how awesome He is!

Coach: Anytime

Spend time reviewing the complete list of this year’s character traits, definitions, and memory verses from this year. Focus on one character trait per week this summer. Come up with fun ways you can live them out with your family, friends, or neighbors. It’s not too late to make the most of your year at K-1 Race, On Your Mark, or Crossroads45 before your kiddos move to their next grade!

Prayer

Father, thank you for providing me with everything I need. Help me to use these blessings to your glory!
