Being a parent is one of the most important jobs you can have, but raising kids is arguably more difficult than ever.

Despite the many outside influences in today’s world, you, as a parent, still have the biggest impact on your children’s lives. But how exactly can we train up future generations in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6)?

The Uncommon Parenting Conference will be hosted at Watermark Community Church on November 10 – 11, 2023. This conference is designed to help parents feel more confident as we raise children in an ever-changing culture according to God’s unchanging truth.

FAQ

Who is this conference for?

This conference was created to equip parents with kids of all ages and in many different family situations to disciple the children in their lives. Our mainstage teaching will give parents God’s vision for the biblical role of family. However, we will host several breakouts to give practical teaching for various family situations and parenting stages such expecting parents, foster parents, blended families, empty-nesters, grandparents, and more! Stay tuned as more breakout topics are released in the coming weeks. Even if your kids are now adults, we're hosting breakouts like Rite of Passage Training and Preparing to Launch Well. It's a great opportunity to get equipped to care for your family in every stage.

What’s included in the price of a ticket?

The registration price includes conference entry, a light breakfast and lunch on Saturday, excellent teaching from speakers and special guests, a few surprises, and some truly fantastic snacks (trust us about the snacks… we’re very serious about snacks here at Watermark 😊 ).

Is childcare provided?

Our facilities are not capable of hosting children for the length of time needed for the conference and our desire is that parents would be able to attend the conference distraction-free. We are asking that no children above the age of 6 months attend the conference – including sessions in the Auditorium or breakout rooms. There will be pumping rooms available for nursing mothers.

If you are looking for childcare, we would recommend you start with family or ask your community for trusted names.

Who is speaking?

We’re lining up fantastic speakers for you. Uncommon Parenting Conference will feature familiar Watermark faces and several special guests who are experts in their fields.

Are refunds available?

Refunds are available until September 14th. Afterward, you can receive a 50% refund until October 12th. Tickets are non-refundable after October 12th at 11:59 PM.

Will ASL (American Sign Language) or closed captioning be offered?

ASL (American Sign Language) and closed captioning will be offered for those who register while purchasing their tickets. There will be interpretation at all teachings and select breakouts.

Will Spanish interpretation be offered?

Spanish interpretation will be offered for those who register while purchasing their tickets. There will be interpretation at all stage teachings and select breakouts.

What if I have additional questions?

We’ve got answers! Email us at uncommon@watermark.org and we’d love to help.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We do not have any reserved room blocks but there are a variety of hotels within walking distance.

Will there be a virtual option?

There will not be a virtual option. Uncommon is more than conference sessions and breakouts – it’s also an experience that’s designed to connect and refresh parents. We believe that’s best facilitated in person. However, conference content will be posted on our website after the event.
