Located in southwest Missouri, Camp Barnabas is a Christian camp for individuals with special needs. Each year Watermark takes a group of high school students up to Camp Barnabas for a week-long experience of hands on, Christ-centered ministry. Students finishing up 8th grade (i.e. starting 9th grade in Fall 2021) have the option of serving alongside some current 9th graders as “Barnstormers” (work crew) and most students in grades 9–12 serve as “Missionaries” (one-on-one counselors). This is a unique, intense, and powerful experience serving others in the name of Christ.
All students currently in grades 9–12 (along with interested 8th graders) are invited to join us. Participants are not required to attend Watermark Community Church but must meet all of the following criteria: A) Follower of Jesus Christ, B) Willing to teach others about Jesus, and C) Willing to be spiritually accountable to Watermark and Camp Barnabas leadership.
Due to Covid-19, Camp Barnabas has set up additional health and safety guidelines to help keep everyone safe while at camp. Please click here for updated Covid-19 policies.
