Follower of Jesus Christ, husband to Kristen, daddy to four boys (Duncan, Drew, Carson, and Lincoln), pastor to engaged and seriously dating couples at Watermark, (overly) proud graduate of Wake Forest University.
In my job here on staff, I have the privilege of working with great teams who lead couples in all stages of their relationship. My top passion in ministry is to see couples honor the Lord as they move toward engagement and marriage and to fully enjoy the gift of marriage as God has intended.
Besides my incredible wife and family, my favorite things in life are my community group, writing (see scottkedersha.com) the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons, reading, college football, and raising boys who I hope will leave behind a legacy of Christlikeness.
The first 24 years of my life were marked by academic, relational, and professional success. Those years were also marked by incredible loneliness and worship of anything other than God. My decisions brought me to a point of desperation and God brought some key people into my life at exactly the right time. Life dramatically changed for me in 1998 when I placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Around that same time, I met Kristen – we got married in 2001 while both working as physical therapists in Atlanta. Neither Kristen nor I are Texans, but our four boys are all native Texans. We have lived here since 2002, and love calling both Watermark Community Church and Dallas our home. God, through the people of Watermark, has challenged me to grow in every aspect of my life – we are so grateful to be a part of this body (Philippians 1:3-6).
