Braun Brown

Director of the Watermark Institute

Meet Braun

I am so thankful for the 18 plus years I have spent on staff at Watermark. I love the opportunity to disciple, build teams, and connect leaders to be on mission together!

I was born in Topeka, Kansas, but moved to Yukon, Oklahoma during my teen years. I put my trust in Christ at nine years old, but really became active in my faith in high school. I was always the guy in high school that played the emcee role of activities and events and that continued in college. It was during my college years that the Lord began to awaken my heart for ministry after spending all my summers at Kanakuk Kamps as a counselor or programs director. After working at Kanakuk, I went to Conway, Arkansas to start Conway K-Life and ended up staying there for nine years. I loved my time with K-Life, but in 2001 the Lord brought my family to Dallas to start the student ministry at Watermark. In 2018, I became the Director of Gather and Single Parent Families. I also help lead with the Watermark Institute.

There are a ton of things that used to be true about me…I used to play basketball, I used to eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight, and I used to be a break-dancer.

These are the things that are true about me now…I am happily married to my wife Angie and have three sons Brayden, Cooper and Easton. I look suspiciously similar to “Chachi” of the duo Johnny and Chachi (johnnyandchachi.com), and I am extremely humbled and blessed to be a dad.
