I was born in Graham, Texas, but was raised on the country roads of Paradise, Texas. I was raised in the church, but I saw God as a Judge who was ready to sentence me to life after catching me doing something wrong.
I attended Howard Payne University, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I started my Law Enforcement Career at the Hood County Sheriff’s Office straight out of college.
How I came to truly know the Lord, took a while. During my junior year of college, my parents got divorced. Due to feeling like things were getting out of control, I ended up trying to control anything and everything around me. Which ultimately led me into a downhill spiral and lots of hurts. While working at Hood County Sheriff’s Office, my best friends Tyler and Kyle Heidelberg introduced me to the Porch at Watermark Community Church. The Lord used the Porch to reveal to me a different perspective of Him. This is when I decided to move to Dallas, which was in 2016. I was introduced to the Re:Generation Discipleship program, which is where my walk with Christ began. I am still continuously learning how to let Him have control over everything in my life through biblical and community counsel, and through confession and vulnerability.
Besides hanging out with my favorite person in the world, my beautiful wife Bethany, I like golfing, doing competitive things with friends, or watching my favorite school in the world, THE University of Texas, in any sport. HOOK’EM!!!
