Meet Reid

Originally from Denver, Colorado, I spent most of my childhood running around Chattanooga, Tennessee as the son of a Christian sports camp director. During these summers, I was a close shadow of my dad and the college staff who modeled what it looked like to follow Christ and how to have a blast doing it.

I spent a lot of my time growing up (possibly too much time) running miles upon miles. I continued to run in college as a part of the Dallas Baptist University track team where I studied Kinesiology and Camp Leadership. Throughout college, I spent my Wednesdays in the blue room of Watermark Kids and my summers in Branson, Missouri at Kanakuk Kamps.

The Lord continued to use Kanakuk and the people there to show me my brokenness and build my identity in His love for me. After graduating, I moved to Branson to attend the Kanakuk Institute, then joined the Kanakuk director team soon after. In my life, God has consistently showed me how His Word is True, His Character is Good and His Love for me is deeper than my wavering heart. The Lord has filled these Colorblind eyes with so much joy and grace, and all glory can only go to Him.
