Growing up in Dallas my whole life, you might think that I would’ve been around Watermark longer, but His sweet grace and perfect plan brought me here as an intern in the Fall of 2016.
I became a believer in college when I attended Stephen F. Austin State University while studying Child Development and Family Living. It was there that God used CRU, YoungLife, working at Pine Cove Woods Family Camp, sorority bible study, and Nacogdoches’ local Bible church to refine me and show me even more of my great need for Him and His faithful people.
Following college, though my internship here was only 6 months, I stuck around this place that I came to call “home” and got plugged into this truth-teaching church body, authentic community, met other young adults through the Porch, and participated in re:generation. I now get the privilege of leading and mentoring other women through that ministry and remind them of the truth found in Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
After nannying for a wonderful family, God called me back to Watermark to work on full-time staff. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team specifically in the area of Newly Weds. While working on the Marriage Team, God is quickly teaching me so much about marriage being a picture of the Gospel and the importance of healthy relationships that can only stem from a healthy relationship with Him.
When I’m not at Watermark, you might find me enjoying coffee at a cool spot in town, two stepping with my friends, daydreaming of owning a golden retriever one day, or on a long drive, singing along to my favorite new music finds! My quality-time loving heart leaps for joy when I get to make memories with my crazy family, genuine friends, squishy little babies and toddlers, and anyone else that I can welcome, host, or be a listening ear for.
