I grew up in Houston, Texas (yes, I support all of their sports teams), but I’ve moved around quite a bit since then. First to Oklahoma State University where I earned a B.S. in Mathematics, then to New Braunfels, Tx, and just before moving to Dallas I had a 9 month stint in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Not growing up in a Christian home, one constant venue throughout my faith has been T Bar M Camp Travis. The Lord used the people there when I was just 13 years old to show me the love of Christ like I’d never seen before; afterward, God gave me the opportunity to serve on staff there for six summers and one school year. It was at camp where I really started to feel like ministry was a good fit for me. When I was 13, someone cared enough for me to tell me about Jesus; I love that I now have the privilege to be used by God in that way for others!
On top of ministry, I love hanging out with good company, spoiling my pup Hazel, and anything that involves sports and competition; playing football in Texas really set me up for that one. Lastly, I’m always up for a good laugh or a nice little farkle that might result in some fun consequences… My family always said, “It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt… then it’s hilarious!”
