I am so blessed to get to be a part of the Watermark Student Ministry and specifically to get to hang with Junior High Students in the Dallas area and share life with their leaders- Shout out all our Wake Volunteers!
My life has been transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I have been personally been impacted by discipleship. It is one of my greater joys and gifts God has given me, that I get to witness this discipleship play out in the lives of our students. I believe that my life can most be summed 1Timothy 1:15-17. “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” I would be unworthy of His grace and love on my own, but Christ makes me worthy and God my father calls me worthy.
I was born in San Antonio, raised in Dallas, and went to college at Texas A&M. I came to know Christ as my savior one summer at Pine Cove Christian Camps (out in East Texas) and after being a long time camper I worked on summer staff out there for 5 summers. Before coming to Watermark Community Church I lived in Houston and worked at a church in the Southwest Suburbs doing student ministry with girls grades 6-12th. So to sum it all up I love Jesus, Texas, and Students and I can hardly believe it has been my job for years to talk about God’s word to young women, dress up in overalls, and do crazy stuff like run through fields throwing soggy cereal at kids (Crud Wars shout-out).
