I was born in Germany, lived in Korea for two years, and moved to the United States and settled in Denton, TX all before turning five. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home, and asked Christ to be my Lord and Savior at a young age. What I struggled to understand and know in my heart was that the Lord is also a good Father. Watching my family struggle and my parent’s marriage fall apart over my adolescent years, led me to question God’s goodness. Wrestling with control and doubt, I found identity in restricting what I ate and what others thought of me, which quickly led me away from the Truth in God’s Word (Psalm 139:13-18). Through the patience and faithfulness of some incredible women and godly men, I found hope once again in the Lord and His Word and found healing in asking for help and seeking biblical counsel.
I attended Dallas Baptist University (Go Patriots!) where I ran cross country and track while studying Kinesiology (Sports Science). I always had a desire to help others grow in their faith and enjoyed spending time in community with other young women finding peace and truth in God’s Word (1 Corinthians 14:33).
When I started attending Watermark in 2013, I started coming to the Porch on Tuesdays, attended some of the Equipping classes and went through re:gen, all of these places served as reminders of my identity in Christ and the redeeming work of the Cross (2 Corinthians 5:17-19).
I met my husband Stephen shortly after wrapping up my journey with re:gen, we married 14 months later. We have two pups and hope the Lord will bless us with children in the future.
You will probably find us somewhere outdoors, spending time with friends and community, running around with our pups, and playing games or watching sports.
