Ooo ooo oooo it’s your re:generation administrative assistant, sour candy enthusiast, and coffee connoisseur, Lois McGuire! If you would have asked me a year ago “do you think you’d ever move to Dallas and work at Watermark?!” No stinkin way. How gracious, gentle, loving, and providential our God is to have plopped me here working with re:generation!
A little bit about me: I put my trust in Jesus Christ at age 7 watching a shooting star (or maybe an airplane, I was only 7) cross the sky my first year at summer camp, however, did not start walking the walk until I was 16. After years of living for my flesh, going to camp and feeling guilty about my sin, yet going back to old habits, the Lord tenderly brought me back into His arms. I had enough of my people-pleasing, arrogance, and pride, running full force after redemption, forgiveness, and humility in Christ alone. I attended Baylor University (go Bears!), where I majored in Religion, and spent every waking moment serving in my Waco church home. The Lord used these years to show me how to love His Word, church, people, and mission; I knew I had to do this full-time ministry thing after I graduated. I dipped my toes in the water throughout my college summers by working at TbarM and Pine Cove Christian Camps. I loved every second of my time on summer staff…so much so that prior to Watermark, I worked at Pine Cove in their retail department! Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and shifting my understanding of traffic from Houston to Dallas.
