Life has taken me to three very different fields: translation, industrial packaging, and now vocational ministry. I’m married to my sweetheart and best friend Julie, and God has blessed us with two amazing little boys, Zachary and Luke. Other passions include watching documentaries, listening to nearly any kind of music, and reading any chance I get. Best of all I love watching, loving and guiding my two little boys, studying their personalities and learning what makes them tick, and trying to come up with creative ways to teach them how much and how passionately their Heavenly Father loves them.
I trusted Christ when I was nine. But after I had wandered away for a long season, God got a hold of my heart for good about twenty years ago. Today it’s with joy that I get to connect folks with the same truth that captured my heart way back then.
When I first started attending Watermark in 2000, I got a gig as a volunteer copying tapes. And a few years later that had morphed into a staff position coordinating Watermark’s media ministry. It’s been so fun to see how new technology has increased our ability to distribute these messages, classes and testimonies in ways we never would have dreamed of when Watermark first began.
The Lord allowed my wife and me to experience some really tough losses just a few years ago and by His grace, God has translated our sorrow into an opportunity to share our hope and the promises of His Word to lead other friends through the pain that comes with losing a loved one. So today my new role with the Pastoral Care ministry has me working with the Burden Bearer, prayer, and grief recovery ministries. Nothing fires me up more than seeing folks respond to the hope we have because of the resurrection of our Savior! (Ephesians 2:1-10).
