After years of hardship and looking to various outlets to fill the longings in my heart, Jesus, graciously and kindly, plucked me out of darkness during my high school years. At Oklahoma State, He then brought into my life several women of His Word who would come to live out 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.” I was never the same after their imprint on my life!
Post-college, I journeyed to the Kanakuk Institute where I had the privilege of sitting under teachers who taught me the inerrancy of Scripture and how to handle God’s Word. That year radically changed so much of me, and I am still benefitting from the knowledge that was revealed to me as I humbly pursue God’s Word each day. I went on to meet my husband, Jonathan, after my Institute year. Doing ministry alongside of him is one of God’s greatest gifts to me!
Since settling down in Dallas, I have had various opportunities to pursue jobs in secular work environments. I am deeply grateful for those I was able to invest in during such seasons where I was challenged to put my belief into action. I did not expect to pursue vocational ministry, but God made clear His calling for me beginning with my husband and I’s own wonderful Merge experience. I am so grateful for the way God has orchestrated for me to now serve as the Pre-Married Assistant!
I am humbled by, eager, and expectant at how God is using His people in Dallas. I am grateful to be on mission with and for Him at Watermark and in my surrounding community!
