I grew up in a suburb of Dallas called Carrollton, and first met Jesus through my parents as they modeled the love of Christ and lived it out in their own lives. I started following Jesus at 8 years old and have been learning what it looks like to abide with Him ever since. I felt the call to ministry in high school but ran away from it out of fear and insecurity. When I graduated from Baylor in 2011, I surrendered to where I thought the Lord was leading me and came to Watermark as a student ministry intern. For 9 years I led Students in Dallas and Plano, and now have the privilege of leading the Body of Christ in Rockwall. I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2020 with a Masters in Christian Leadership, and have been living in dependence daily, worshipping Him and serving others, as Jesus lives and loves through me.
I feel called to love and lead Christ’s church. I love to encourage people to be fully who God created them to be and empower them to use their gifts on mission as His Church. A passage I love is Ephesians 4 which calls us to equip (and empower) the saints for the work of ministry. I love to be with the saints and rally them to be the kingdom of priests to one another and then send them out to a hurting and broken world. Jesus came to show the world how much he loves them and then he left so we, the church, could love the world like Him. I want to give my life to help His Church look, live, and love like Jesus in a broken world that desperately needs him.
I married my beautiful bride, Hunter, in 2011. We were high school sweethearts that will remain newlyweds until we die. She is an amazing blessing in my life, she makes me be a better man and disciple of Jesus. We have 4 awesome kids - Abel, Hugh, Neal, and Robbie. I love hanging with my family, sitting around a fire with friends, creating, any sport involving a board, being outside, chilling in a hammock, being in the mountains, and eating incredible food.
