I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, home of breathtaking mountain view sunsets and the best Mexican food (not tex-mex, sorry) west of the east coast. After finishing my undergrad at UTEP, I moved to College Station for graduate school where I was invited to a bar called breakaway… or so I thought. This is where I heard the gospel for the first time but unfortunately, I didn’t surrender my life to the Lord until I moved to Dallas and got plugged into a community group at Watermark a few years later. This is where my heart ignited for the Lord! I eventually moved back to El Paso as I wanted my friends to have the same hope in Christ that I now had. This led to starting The Porch Live El Paso which I am incredibly thankful the Lord allowed me to lead for a couple years.
As my passion for ministry grew, I began to process what the next faithful step might be to equip me for a life of full-time vocational ministry. I attended the Church Leaders Conference in 2017 where I learned about the Watermark Institute. I applied for the institute later that year and got accepted into the fall of 2018 class. I am extremely grateful to be part of the Watermark family as I serve as the frontlines coordinator. I am not sure what the Lord has next for me on this journey, but my heart is heavy for my hometown of El Paso…. perhaps the Lord will send me back to plant a church at some point in the near future.
