I grew up in Carrollton, TX with my parents and older sister. For as long as I can remember, I have known about Jesus. I was very fortunate to grow up in a home where the Lord was always a high priority and I accepted Jesus to be my savior when I was 12. Nearly everywhere I looked, I was surrounded by Christian influences so being a believer seemed to just be laid out before me – what I didn’t understand is that a relationship with Jesus actually took investment.
When I went off to college at Texas A&M University, I started to understand what it looked like to pursue a relationship with Jesus. Being a believer wasn’t about going through the motions; it was about devoting daily to Jesus and allowing his Word to transform my life. I got plugged in to an awesome community of girls and was very involved in my local church in College Station. Here Jesus taught me that we aren’t meant to live in isolation, but life is sweetest in community.
While in college, I started dating this guy named Patrick Rea. We actually went to high school together where I had a big crush on him, but I always thought he was too cool for me. Sure enough, he liked me too, so we dated for over three years and got married in April of 2019. He is my best friend in the whole world and is truly the greatest gift to me apart from amazing grace.
I started attending Watermark after graduation and have been so blessed by the resources, ministries and teachings at this place. It is the coolest thing to be the graphic designer on the Watermark Resources team and to help other churches around the world thrive for the glory of God. I have always had a knack for art and design so using my creative gifts for the Kingdom is a joy.
Fun facts: I’m loyal to Blue Bell ice cream (specifically Cookie Two Step), I love all things creative whether that be drawing, painting, graphic design or DIY projects, I’m in to adrenaline (yes, I have bungy jumped, skydived, paraglided, swam with great white sharks and ridden an ostrich), and I love watching Survivor – I’ve seen every episode of every season since I was 4 years old.
